Cloudy or White Water After Installation? Don't Panic—Here's Why!

You just installed a brand-new, high-end water purifier from Aqua Tech Texas, but when you pour your first glass, the water looks white or "cloudy." Before you call for a repair, we have good news: this is completely normal and actually a sign of your system working!

What is it? Micro-bubbles. The "cloudiness" you see isn't dirt or chemicals—it’s actually millions of tiny air bubbles.

Why does it happen?

  1. New Filters: New filters (especially RO membranes and carbon blocks) contain a lot of trapped air. As water is forced through them under high pressure, that air is released into the water.

  2. Pressure Changes: When water moves from a high-pressure pipe into your glass, the dissolved air becomes visible, similar to opening a bottle of soda.

How to Test It: Pour a glass of the cloudy water and set it on the counter for 2 minutes. If the water clears from the bottom up, it’s just air. If it clears, your water is 100% safe to drink!

When will it go away? This usually lasts for the first 24 to 48 hours as the system "flushes" out the remaining air.
